Australians and New Zealanders are coming together for Discover SKA to celebrate the world’s biggest telescope – the Square Kilometre Array, or SKA for short. Discover SKA will connect Australians and New Zealanders with the excitement of bidding to host the SKA and the global benefits of this mega-science project.
Hundreds of events will be held between April and July 2011 around our nations, highlighting the amazing potential of the SKA. The SKA will consist of thousands of radio telescopes all working together to answer some of the most fundamental questions of the universe. With your help, Discover SKA will bring together thousands of people, working to make the SKA a reality in Australia and New Zealand.
