Aboriginal community names first 6 ASKAP dishes 

13 June 2011: The first 6 ASKAP dishes have been given names in the local Wararri language in a ceremony at the MRO.

The first six antennas of CSIRO’s Australian SKA Pathfinder telescope (ASKAP) in Western Australia have received names in the local Wajarri language.
