On 25 March, 2009, Senator the Hon Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research briefed Western Australian businesses in Perth on the vast breadth of opportunities that Australia's bid to host the A$2.9 billion Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project represents for both the state and Australia.
This event included presentations from Peter Hall representing the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), Andrew Rohl representing iVec, Phil Crosby from the CSIRO and Professor Peter Quinn of the University of Western Australia.
