Balagardi Barnagardi Official Opening

On Tuesday 7 July, during NAIDOC Week 2015, Balargardi Barnagrdi - Across to the other land was officially opened. Forty guests representing Ngunnawal people and Wajarri artists, Commonwealth and ACT government, and scientific and academic communities attended the opening.

The exhibition was officially opened by Glenys Beauchamp, Secretary of the Department of Industry and Science. A moving Welcome to Country address was provided by Ngunnawal representative Tina Brown.

Following the official opening, guests spoke with artists and viewed the artwork. The exhibition was open throughout the day and evenings of 7-9 July 2015.
