Collapsed - Round 2 Process for Applying

The application process for round 2 is described in detail in the Square Kilometre Array Preconstruction Grants Program Round 2 Guidelines.

Successful applicants must enter into a funding agreement with the Commonwealth. This is the standard funding agreement for this program.

You will have 30 days from the date of a written offer to execute this funding agreement with the Commonwealth ('execute' means both you and the Commonwealth have signed the agreement).

During this time, we will work with you to finalise details. The offer may lapse if both parties do not sign the funding agreement within this time. Under certain circumstances, we may extend this period.

Collapsed - Round 1 Outcomes

To assist the Australian Government in evaluating applications against the Program’s merit criteria, an Expert Assessment Panel was established. The merit criteria for the Program addressed a number of key issues. These issues included: the importance of the work to the SKA Pre-construction Project; the organisation’s capacity to undertake the work; the level of co-investment that would be provided and the degree that the applicant would engage with Australian industry.

On 28 May 2012 the Australian Government announced the outcomes, summarised here: Funding Outcomes Summary
